Mikan is what the Japanese call a seedless, easy-to-peel mandarin. This one is Tango, invented at UC Riverside. These trees sit at roughly 1,300 feet in the De Luz hills of Temecula.

14 pounds of fruit, delivered to your door by us — not the post office. We pick on the weekend and drive the boxes up ourselves on Tuesday. Fruit that was on the tree Sunday is on your counter Tuesday.

How it works: Order by Sunday midnight. We deliver Tuesday afternoon/evening to Southern California addresses (zip codes starting 900–918 and 926–928). We'll email you the day before with a delivery window. Delivery is included in the price — no shipping charge at checkout.

A note on the fruit. It's important to note that these are late season mandarins, and there are sunspots, blemishes and imperfections. That said, we actually find the sunburnt Mikan to be the sweetest.
